The Hong Kong Corporate Governance Excellence Awards are conferred annually and are designed to encourage improvement in corporate governance (CG) of listed companies in Hong Kong.
and prestige for listed companies in achieving outstanding commitments to shareholder rights, compliance, integrity, fairness, responsibility, accountability, transparency, board independence & leadership, and corporate social responsibility.
The objectives of the Awards are:
To foster the highest standards (i.e. beyond regulatory requirements) in corporate governance, business ethics and board leadership in Hong Kong
To recognize excellence of corporate governance of listed companies that adopt exemplary standards
To raise the level of corporate governance in Hong Kong by showing best practices and accomplishments of listed companies
To promote a strong culture of good corporate governance by recognizing companies that have made significant improvements or important contributions to the area
